Vision:
Our vision is to create a solid foundation built on the Word
of God in the hearts of our Jr. Youth that will sustain them
throughout their teenage years and into their adult lives.
We believe this foundation is built through teaching the Word
and encouraging them to live it every day.
Some of the things we
have learned this year:
- Who we are in Christ Jesus
- What
faith is
- Living
a life devoted to God
- How much God truly loves us
- How God desires to bless us
- Being
a good friend
- Walking in the Holy Spirit
- The goodness of God
- How to honor our parents
- Walking in the promises of God's
Word
- If we make mistakes, God still
loves us
- God wants to forgive us, set
us free
- God has a plan for our lives

We
encourage the pre-teens to keep their hearts right before
God. Everyone makes mistakes. But that is no excuse to live
in our mistakes. We desperately desire that our pre-teens
realize the intense love God has for them. God is for them
and wants to forgive them and set them free to live a life
of purpose and blessing.
On
July 4th we had our annual Kid's camp for 2005 and
it truly was an awesome experience. All of the Jr. Youth had
a great time! We played a ton of games. The scavenger hunt
was a lot of fun. Let's not forget the great dodge ball games
or the incredible water slide! We went on night hikes through
the woods and made marshmallow guns (talk about sticky).
Then
came the evening services. They were awesome! God moved in
a mighty way. Many kids were born again and filled with the
Holy Spirit. The worship and praise was incredible! The teaching
was anointed and to the point. We can't wait to go back in
'06.
On
December 31 we went to see the farewell concert of
the Christian band Petra. Petra has been around since the
70's. It was really loud, but we had a blast! Some of us couldn't
hear very well after the concert, but that was just part of
the fun, right?
